Ultraviolet Air Purifiers

Welcome the next generation in air purifiers helping you win the fight against Covid 19 and protect the ones you love.

Why SATUV and why do we purify indoor air?

14000 liters

The average adult consumes 11 000 to 14 000 liters of air per day.
That`s just one human being, now calculate the average household. Scary stuff !

Human Nature

We interact with each other , laugh , talk and cry sneeze etc. These are the ways airborne diseases spread.

Minimal Maintenance

Robust and reliable , yet small and flexible. Energy efficient requiring very little to no maintenance.

Covid 19

Neutralizes airborne viruses and bacteria like Covid-19 and TB

SATUV purifiers use Ultraviolet

Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI)

and Negative Ion Generation to purify and revitalize indoor air.

These air purifiers are little miracle makers and they actually perform a number of actions once installed in your house. Apart from them being super beneficial for your everyday overall  health,  they  are very economical  in terms of power consumption and also super quiet when they are running.

So to wrap all of this up , what would be the most important and key things you need to understand about our air purifiers?  They reduce the spread of airborne pathogens like viruses, bacteria, yeast , mold spores and even Tb ! Providing protection for you and your loved ones and family. They even neutralizes the smell of tobacco smoke. They have been around loooooooong before covid struck. Specifically designed to protect against a wide variety of things and not just Covid 19.

Contaminated” air filled with airborne Viruses, Bacteria, Pathogens, Carcinogens, Fungi, Yeast, Volatile Organic Compounds and odours circulate the air around us. A single sneeze projects these 40 meters around us and these can stay alive and airborne for hours. TB, colds, flu airborne diseases, stay airborne for hours from people who have left a room, hours ago for example.

Contaminated” air is sucked in by the SATUV Air purifiers where it passes over concealed Ultraviolet lamps for a determined exact time by the ventilation system. The Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) is a sterilization method that uses the UV light at a sufficiently short wavelength to break down micro-organisms. Viruses, bacteria and pathogens passing the UV system in this manner is killed / eliminated by the UV system, before existing the device.  As UV light will only “attack” something that it can “see” the device also has Photo Catalytic Titanium Dioxide technology whereby the light works on the Titanium Dioxide to create Oxidising Hydroxyl Radicals which in turn attack and destroys the cells of viruses and bacteria. The byproduct of this process then = harmless water.

In addition, the unit is fitted with a Negative Ion Generator that uses high voltage, to ionize (electrically charge) air molecules. Negative ions assist to clear the air from mould spores, pollen, pet dander, odours, bacteria, viruses, dust and other hazardous airborne particles. They do this by attaching to these positively charged particles in large numbers which causes the germs, mould, pollen and other allergens to become too heavy to stay airborne and they simply fall to the ground removing these from the air we breathe and prevents them from causing respiratory problems and other health issues.

What are the most important things you need to know about our SATUV Purifiers ? They are not just used and installed for the fight against Covid 19. Our purifiers have been in existence looooooong before Covid happened. They were originally designed   to control and eliminate the transmission of pathogens like airborne  viruses and fungi as well as yeast and mould spores. These devices also neutralize and eliminate bad odors especially tobacco smoke !

De-Contaminated Pure air” free of 99.999% of viruses, bacteria and harmful pathogens leaves the unit and fills the room for us to breathe! This dramatically reduces the risk of cross-infections, reinfections, playgrounds for airborne superbugs. As these devices emits zero direct radiation as per the newly recognized international standards, have already been tested according to ISO 17025 standards, determined to be safe and have a efficacy rate of 99.999%  by the National Health Laboratory Services (NHLS) in February 2017 / National Institute of Occupational Health (NIOH), this is the superior product and what we need right now versus similar product or devices out there currently

These purifiers use Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) and Negative Ion Generation to purify and revitalise indoor air. These effective devices have been designed to pro-actively control & reduce the transmission of pathogens such as airborne bacteria, viruses and fungi as well as yeast and mould spores. These devices also neutralise known Carcinogens that pollute indoor air such as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), Oxides of Nitrogen (NOx) and second-hand tobacco smoke. Additionally, to this they remove unpleasant odour particles and eliminate Sick Building Syndrome (SBS). It is very important to note that the UV lamps are enclosed inside these units with no exposure to humans, thus meaning sterilization of the air happens inside the unit and units can run continuously in areas where people are working without any risk.

Pathogens:    Infectious Biological agents / germs that causes disease to its host. E.g. Tuberculosis TB, SARS and H1N1 Viruses.

Carcinogens: Substances, radionuclides, or radiation that is an agent directly involved in causing cancer.

Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs): Chemical compounds which have significant vapour pressure. Anthropogenic VOCs are regulated. VOCs are not typically acutely toxic but have chronic effects on human health.

Factors to be Considerd

Factors to be considered for the area to be protected:

Step 1: Determine the risk of the target area (High, medium or low risk)
Step 2: M3 – Air volume of the area
Step 3: Placement consideration of the units

High risk areas require 12 air changes per hour / Medium risk areas require 6 air changes per hour / Low risk area requires 4 air changes per hour.

Determination of number of units required:

A/55=n (“A” is the M3 air volume and “n” is the number of units required)

High Risk:       A/55=n

Medium Risk:  A/55=n / 2

Low Risk:        A/55=n / 3
